Is it Safe to Drink From?
The 2LB Tungsten Shot is a collectible display piece and is not certified as food or beverage safe.
However, pure tungsten is known to be highly corrosion-resistant in neutral liquids, meaning that occasional use with non-acidic spirits (such as whiskey, vodka, tequila, and similar distilled alcohols) is unlikely to cause measurable metal reaction.
We do not recommend using tungsten with:
- Acidic alcohols (wine, cider, sours, citrus cocktails),
- Carbonated beverages, or
- Any drink with a pH below ~6,
as acidic liquids can react with tungsten over time.
For everyday or long-term drinking, use materials specifically certified for food contact (glass, stainless steel, titanium).

Is it really 100% tungsten?
Yes it’s made from solid, pure tungsten, not a tungsten alloy or tungsten carbide. This is the same ultra-dense metal used in aerospace, high-precision tooling, and radiation shielding. No fillers. No cheap blends. Just pure heavy.
Is it an alloy like tungsten carbide?
No. Tungsten carbide is a completely different material (a ceramic-metal composite).
Our shot is pure tungsten metal, giving it the signature density, weight, and satisfying “thud” that tungsten is known for, without being brittle like carbide.
Is this a display piece or is it food-safe?
The 2LB Tungsten Shot is primarily designed as a premium display, collectible, and conversation piece.
It is not certified as food-safe, and we do not market it as a daily-use drinking vessel.
You can pour a quick celebratory sip into it, but it is not intended to replace your everyday shot glass.
What is Your Return Policy?
- For pre-ordered items we accept returns within 30 days with no questions asked and do not charge any fees. For shipped items we also accept 30 day returns on damaged items but require the purchaser to cover the cost of return shipping.
